This is one of those items that you find at a flea market and people walk past you in envy.
Okay, so if you don’t frequent the markets like we do, then you’re probably wondering what the heck I’m talking about. But it happens. Really.
You know you have a gem when people stop you to ask “what are you going to do with that?”, “where did you find that?”, “how much did you get it for?…I’m so jealous!”
I’ll call it “flea-market-find-envy” and on this particular day last summer, I had THE piece! I don’t know where this oh-so-pretty piece of turquoise wood came from but it was already weathered and chipped and the color….my goodness, the color is perfect!
I thought I had a pic from that flea market day but I don’t…
The original item I bought was just a painted piece of wood. That’s it, just this long scalloped piece of wood…
So I decided to make it a rack. Mamita had hooks in her stash of goodies that I spray painted white and I ordered these great rose knobs on Etsy (another slight addiction).
I added two brackets on the back – so it’s ready to hang!
