Growing up in poverty in Cleveland certainly taught us how to be resourceful.
We acquired a true passion and appreciation for flea markets, thrift stores, antiques, vintage items, and even the occasional garbage picking.
Yes, we said garbage picking. What's the saying? One persons's trash is another person's treasure? We apply that here!
Fast forward to 2013 when we wanted to work on a creative project together and we started a DIY blog!
We worked out of our homes and shared tutorials on how to upcycle home goods and paint furniture.
Soon after, we opened an Etsy shop. Within 18 months we grew out of our homes and into a brick and mortar home decor boutique in Lakewood, Ohio.
We take pride in knowing that we have rescued hundreds of pieces of furniture from heading to landfills!
We each have our own design styles, but we appreciate them all: Traditional, Modern, Industrial, Minimalist, Retro, Rustic, Victorian---there’s something for everyone.
Mamita's cottage is Shabby Chic and Victorian, Karen's style is Farmhouse and Kathy's style is more modern.
In each of our homes, you'll find vintage, refurbished and new home decor. So it only makes sense that our shop reflects that too.
